Welder foreman

About the position

Qempower is looking for a suitable candidate for various projects in shipbuilding, construction and offshore.
Experienced Welder Foreman with VT-w2 and/or Cswip 3.1 certification. You are responsible
for controlling welders, quality control and performing NDT/visual
Welding inspections according to applicable standards. With your certification and experience, you guarantee that
welding work of the highest level is delivered.

What are you going to do?

• Lead and motivate a team of certified welders.
• Independently perform visual weld inspections.
• Coordinating welding activities and ensuring compliance with QA/QC guidelines.
• Identify deviations and report them to project management and QA/QC managers.
• Direct contact with customers and quality inspectors from Lloyd’s, DNV and ABS, among others.
• Actively contribute to a safe and efficient workplace.

What do we expect from you?

• Valid VT-w2 and/or Cswip 3.1 certificate (Visual welding inspection level 2).
• Extensive experience as a welder and manager (cooperating foreman).
• Certifications according to EN ISO 9606 are an advantage.
• Knowledge of welding processes (121, 131, 135/136/138, 141).
• Strong sense of responsibility and communication skills.
• Good command of Dutch and/or English.
• In possession of VCA-VOL or willing to obtain this quickly.
